How to Use
- l Step 1: Prepare and Position: Lay the patient flat on their back, clear any obvious airway obstructions, and tilt the head back (head-tilt/chin-lift maneuver) to open the airway
- Step 2: Position the Mask: Place the narrow apex of the PVC mask over the bridge of the patient’s nose and the wide base securely over the chin.
- Step 3: Establish a Seal: Press firmly down on the dome using both thumbs or fingers to compress the soft cushion, creating an airtight perimeter against the facial contours.
- Step 4: Ventilate: Deliver breaths through the top 22mm opening via mouth-to-mask technique or connect a bag-valve resuscitator / oxygen tubing to the built-in inlet port. Watch for the chest to rise with each breath.
- Step 5:Monitor and Repeat: Follow standard BLS (Basic Life Support) protocols (e.g., rhythmic compression-to-ventilation ratios), observing patient response and checking for exhalation clearance.
